About Our Family Taekwondo Program
Kids starting at 6 years old and older are able to thrive in basics class as they have positive role models and heroes to look up to. Discipline, respect, confidence, and basic leadership skills are practiced in every class while getting a good workout and learning the basics of the martial arts.

Parents, you’ll find the class challenging and fun as well. We teach this for the kids, and the current parents in the class agree that they love having an activity that they can grow together with their child while meeting their own personal goals.

Leadership Academy’s Youth Program focuses on the physical, emotional and mental well being, as well as the education of our children. It is “Education for Life.” Firstly, we provide our young students with the most powerful defensive skills so they will be ready to stand up against bullies. In addition, we assist our students with the development of characteristics and skills they will need in order to live a happy and balanced life. Our young pupils develop confidence, discipline, courage, responsibility, and leadership among other important values. We promote non-violent resolutions to conflict.

Leadership Academy’s Youth Program focuses a great deal of attention to the development of self-esteem. A good self-image is the basis of a well functioning, happy and successful child.

Our curriculum integrates physical education and self-defense techniques with conditioning and skill oriented games aimed at improving your child’s coordination, motor skills, agility and flexibility. Every instructor receives training in our unique teaching methodology, enabling them to deliver learning through dynamic interaction with the children, using a variety of approaches that meet the various learning types of individual children, whether visual, kinesthetic or auditory. Group Classes give you a vast range of training partners to work with. If private lessons will help you fine tune your skills, group classes will challenge yourself against others who are all working toward the same goals. in this “healthy competition’ environment, students are encouraged to help push each other respectfully and perform at their personal best.

We have several class options including Preskillz, Basics, Intermediate, Advanced, Sparring/Forms, and Self Defense Classes.

Our Group TKD Classes are available for ALL ages.
About Our Gracie Jiu Jitsu Program
Royce Gracie 360™ is the official curriculum of the Royce Gracie Jiu Jitsu Network and Your Instructor Gary Engels has been certified, by the Valente Brothers and Royce Gracie to teach this authentic curriculum approved by GM Helio.

Jiu Jitsu is a Complete Self Defense system developed by Grand Master Helio Gracie and uses chokes, joint locks, controlling positions, throws, and strikes.

The techniques are based on leverage and correct body positioning, not strength!

The Jiu Jitsu way of life promotes a healthy life style from eating habits, virtues, and self defense techniques and physical conditioning, and is the most complete and efficient Martial Art in the world, with patience and proper technique, not strength, being key.

You're Coming in for a Trial Class and Tour of Leadership Academy...
  • All Inclusive - You'll have access to try any class from our entire schedule of Fitness, Taekwondo and Gracie Jiu Jitsu Classes - this is more of an opportunity to get to classes that work for you in a more flexible schedule. 
  • Gracie Jiu Jitsu - You are signing up for a private Gracie Jiu Jitsu class and will be learning from Grandmaster Helio Gracie's private lesson curriculum. Though all student have the option to train in a single art, our Warrior Package students will be earning rank in 2 different martial arts simultaneously. Jiu Jitsu belts will even be given by Royce Gracie himself!
  • Custom Uniform Rental Included (Normally $5/class) - We have a Leadership Academy uniform for you to use during your Trial Class. Our custom uniforms are the finest martial arts uniforms on the market. We want only the best, the safest, and the cleanest for you and your family. 
  • Royce Gracie 360™ is a 28 lesson program developed by Royce Gracie under the direct supervision of Grandmasters Helio Gracie.  Royce Gracie 360™ was reviewed and approved by Helio Gracie.
